Paul Dowey is currently 'Swimming Development Coach' for Pembrokeshire. He has oversees the Pembrokeshire County Swimming Pathway. This involves advising on the Learn-to-Swim program, advising 5 development clubs of Fishguard Flyers, Milford Haven Tigers, Haverfordwest Seals, Pembroke & District and Tenby Swimming Club; advising on the school swimming program and leading the coaching programme as Head coach of the Pembrokeshire Elite Performance, Pembrokeshire County Potential and Pembrokeshire Skills Squads. This totals over 2700 swimmers.
He previously was head Coach of Amman Valley Swimming Club (AVSC), a development club in Carmarthenshire, Wales and as a volunteer coach at Bridgend County Swim Squad as well as some of the junior Welsh squads.
In addition he has regulary been invited to coach, the Welsh Skills, Regional & Youth programs with Swim Wales.
"I have also managed large swimming projects such as the Kelloggs Swim Active Project in Ammanford and have wide experience from Learn-to-Swim level all the way to Welsh competitive standard."
